A special nubuck eraser is used to get rid of liquid stains while a leather conditioner is useful for keeping the leather soft, supple and in tip-top condition.
The condo project has mahogany and rosewood tables that are at least a century old and displayed in a climate-controlled space to ensure low levels of humidity. To make them look their absolute best, a specific liquid designed for each wood type and a protective furniture wax are used. If a vase of fresh flowers is on the table, it’s possible that the flowers can leave water marks on the surface.
The water can wear through the furniture’s protective finishes. To dust old paintings, a horsehair brush is used. Horsehair is fine, flexible and soft.
Caring for these priceless artefacts requires the skills of a curator. The role played by a curator demands a profound knowledge about the upkeep of these priceless art collections. But the curator needs to be well-versed in the stories of the important artefacts in a gallery and their backgrounds.
After all, the curator is the one who tells the riveting stories of these art objects to residents of the condominium. These objects are part of the communal property jointly owned by residents.
