LIV-24 Exceeds Whole-Year Income Target in Just 10 Months with 118% Growth
LIV-24 shows off operating results for its comprehensive security service business employing smart security technology, with 51 million baht of income achieved in the first 10 months of 2023. With the 118% year-on-year income growth, the unit’s income has already exceeded the whole-year target.
For its 2024 strategy, LIV-24 aims to develop technologies in response to client demands at both residential and commercial developments, while also gearing up to better penetrate the industrial factories client group.
Miss Niramol Direkmahamongkol, Senior director for LIV-24 Living Technology at Plus Property Company Limited, revealed “The operating results of LIV-24, which provides services involving smart security technology and comprehensive building systems engineering management, garnered the responses of clients at about 130 projects this year.
This resulted in 51 million baht of income being generated in the first 10 months of 2023, for a 118% (YOY) growth from 2022 when 23 million baht of income was realised. This growth exceeded the target.
For 2024, LIV-24 will continue on with its offensive play and leverage its tactic of being a ‘United Power 24/7 Protection for the Future of Security Technology’, reflecting its leadership and expertise in security systems that integrates AI with the experience of proficient personnel, which are used in real-time and around-the-clock building systems engineering management.”
LIV-24 has undergone continuous technological advancement in two main aspects.
1. The Security Tech
Aspect involves the ingenuity of AI CCTV Analytics that has accumulated over 5 years of experience, allowing the AI to learn from cases and become smarter in general. Up until now, the AI had been able to detect about 500,000 anomalies (Incident Detection) and LIV-24 had been able to prevent more than 100,000 incidents that would otherwise result from malfunctions within building systems.
These included electricity short-circuits that may otherwise exacerbate and give rise to fires, stalled lifts, anomalies within building systems, preventing threats from dangerous or poisonous animals intruding into property projects, intrusions by suspicious individuals, and accidents prevention at risk spots.
The results reinforce LIV-24’s leading position in security provision. Most recently, an upgrade was given to the Visitor Management System (VMS) used to inspect vehicles entering property projects.
The upgrade makes use of an AI-enabled License Plate Recognition system that helps reduce expenses associated with investing in vehicle entry/exit scanning equipment by as much as 40%, compared to previous systems that make use of keycards or RFID technology. This helps improve the effectiveness of investment.
Furthermore, advance registration for entries into property projects, e-stamps, and parking fee payments have been made available via the Line mobile application, improving convenience as well as safety.
2. The Building Automation System (BAS)
Aspect continues to see technological improvements in response to requirements at high-rise buildings. PLUS has undertaken a study of information relevant to buildings in Thailand that were installed with fire alarm systems as required by law.
It was discovered that most buildings were installed with conventional fires alarm systems that delivered alarms but were unable to specify the location of incident. This meant personnel had to be stationed to monitor various spots and time was needed to search for the location of the fire and to coordinate a response that would end the incident.
The second most-used system was the addressable system that can pinpoint the spot of the incident. However, this system still required personnel to be stationed at various spots for purposes of coordinating responses in a timely manner. Only a small portion of buildings were installed with a wireless fire alarm system that provides real-time and 24/7 monitoring against incidents.
This type of system can be linked to a central command centre, enabling incidents to be most quickly acknowledged and responses to fires to be carried out most rapidly. This capability helps reduce the toll on lives and assets that may result from fires.
PLUS sees opportunities in the market for supervising building systems via centralised monitoring, and has thus developed its most recent “IoT Edge Series” product that is the fruit of research and development by the IoT section of LIV-24.
This product addresses a number of limitations by using IoT in monitoring and managing systems such as those for fire alarms and building management. This reduces equipment-related expenses as well as the space required for installation of monitoring systems, while also lessening the time needed for installing the systems.
The product enables remote inspection and troubleshooting via the LIV-24 Command Centre, which had been designed and developed to handle all the relevant systems. The LIV-24 team’s highly proficient personnel coordinates with staff at each property project to provide 24/7 oversight as well as immediate inspections of and responses to incidents.
This improves work efficiency and elevates the level of safety for clients to the maximum extent possible.
“In 2024, LIV-24 has set an income target of 180 million baht, or a growth of 150%. Growth will be had from residential developments as well as from commercial properties.
The expectation is for the number of projects subscribing to the service increasing to 160, owing to expertise in technology and in-depth understanding of the diverse requirements on the security system that differ among residential projects as well as commercial properties.
The function of LIV-24 is therefore flexible, with its team having been developed to have expertise and able to provide consultations and well as design security services that truly answer to the requirements of each property project”, said Niramol.
