Plus Elevates COVID-19 Measures Partners with Rentokil Initial

Plus Property, for the well-being of its residents, has joined hands with global firm Rentokil Initial to offer disinfecting services for condominium common areas as well as for detached houses and townhomes at the 200-plus residential projects being overseen by PLUS. 

Measures have been elevated to an intensive level to tackle the COVID-19 situation, while PLUS strives to work under a single standard for all projects in Bangkok and the provinces, with an aim of reassuring residents on safety.  

Naruemon Arporntanakul, Assistant Management Director – Project Management Residential Project at Plus Property, the full-service professional property and facility management agency, explained that managing residential projects and leading office buildings in Thailand count as one of Plus Property’s main businesses. 

Currently, PLUS has elevated its level of measures for the prevention and control of the COVID-19 virus to the highest level available, in order to assure residents and visitors at the roughly 200 residential projects and other property projects that were under the care of PLUS. 

The elevation is also aimed at improving the level of care provided to the residents and reinforce their confidence. Most recently, PLUS has joined hands with Rentokil Initial, a leading pest control and hygiene firm from the United Kingdom, to have the latter act as PLUS’s exclusive partner overseeing the sanitisation of the common areas at each of the property projects administered by PLUS. 

Services will be provided in accordance with the stipulations of the juristic person at each property project. Furthermore, residents at PLUS-managed projects will be entitled to a special benefit when they would like to call in the sanitisation service to treat their rooms; services by Rentokil Initial will be offered at special rates although conditions may apply (inquiries can be made to the juristic person office at each PLUS-managed property project).


In the run-up to the present period, PLUS has been elevating the intensity of oversight given to residential projects. The PLUS Living Management team closely provided oversight through 5 special measures that include the following: 

  1. Ensuring the readiness of personnel. This was achieved via training by public health specialists, and allowed the residential project administrators to possess the correct knowledge and understanding. Individuals who received this training helped to further relay the acquired knowledge to all branches of personnel at residential projects, including housekeeping staff and security guards. All personnel must now wear health masks, and are asked to avoid traveling to coronavirus ‘risk countries’. 
  2. Hourly cleaning with a sanitising agent capable of eradicating 99.9% of pathogens at frequently touched surfaces such as elevator buttons, stairs railing and door handles. The frequency of cleaning for the common areas has been increased to 3 times per day (morning, early afternoon, early evening) and ozone treatment is now applied to common areas such as the lobby, the fitness room, co-working spaces, the club house, the educational playground and the multi-purpose room. 
  3. Bottles of sanitising gel containing 70% alcohol and health masks have been made available for residents at various spots throughout condo buildings. Suggestions on how to correctly wash hands and wear health masks, provided in 3 languages (Thai, English, Chinese) have been posted at every residential project. These hygiene suggestions have also been relayed through the mobile application that PLUS uses to communicate with residents, in order to achieve increased efficiency in preventing COVID-19. 
  4. Residents are kept informed at all times about relevant developments and any issuance of measures. Examples of developments relayed to residents are the measures issued to care for the residential project, and relevant measures issued by the public sector. Residents are informed of these news through the Home Service application and the Living Plus application, in addition to any channel that is appropriate for each respective project. 
  5. Contact numbers of nearby hospitals have been prepared and coordination has been made with said hospitals to accommodate emergencies and to ensure that medical assistance is available when residents require it; these efforts make it possible for patient delivery to be quickly accomplished. 


Negotiations have also been undertaken with the hospitals in the vicinity of each residential project to erect partnerships that would provide healthcare benefits to residents. An example would be discount cards that residents can use when receiving services from a partner hospital.
